I design the parts of a product where people quietly give up.
Two case studies. One is a plant-care app whose owners kept deleting it while their plants were still alive; the other is a bookshop checkout that loses buyers halfway through. Both are built, not mocked — every claim in them is something you can click.

Owners kept deleting the app while their plants were still alive
Ten interviews said the same thing: log everything for two weeks, miss one day, feel guilty, delete. So I rebuilt the app around a card that answers how much water to give, and progress that never resets — then watched a tester break the shared goal in usability testing and rebuilt it around physical sapling counts.

Designing checkout for a bookshop losing buyers halfway through
Seven in ten carts are abandoned, and almost none of it is about how the page looks. I used published research from Baymard and Contentsquare as the brief, then rebuilt the checkout around one order model, costs disclosed before they are charged, and recovery paths that keep what you typed.
